Fulbright International Science & Technology Award 2011, USA

2011 INTERNATIONAL FULBRIGHT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AWARD FOR PhD STUDY

The American Indonesia Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) is pleased to announce the availability of approximately 40 awards to be competed worldwide under the aegis of International Fulbright Science and Technology Award for Ph.D. study at top U.S. institutions in science, technology, or engineering for the 2012-2013 academic year matriculants. The Fulbright Program in Indonesia promotes mutual understanding between the Republic of Indonesia and the United States of America through educational exchange and academic scholarship. Fulbright scholarships for this particular program are available to Indonesian citizens with the appropriate qualifications as stipulated below.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
Applicants will possess:

  • a Bachelor and/or Master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.00 scale). Undergraduate students who will complete the degree before August 1, 2011 may also apply.
  • demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and other cultures.
  • a deep commitment to the chosen field of study.
  • a determination to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright program.
  • a minimum institutional TOEFL score of 580 or IELTS 6.5 or higher at the time of application.
  • a minimum GRE quantitative score of 700 (GRE test will be required if selected for nomination).

  • Aeronautics and Astronomics/Aeronautical Engineering
  • Agriculture (theoretical or research-based focus only)
  • Astronomy / Planetary Sciences
  • Biology

  • Engineering (electrical, chemical, civil, mechanical, ocean, and petroleum)

  • Information Sciences / Engineering (engineering focus only; business-focused study is not eligible)

  • Mathematics

Master Scholarships, University of Twente, The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) fosters capacity building within organizations in 61 developing countries by providing training and education to their mid-career staff members at the University of Twente. The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes is an initiative of the Dutch government.
Requirements for application
Applicants must:

  • be a national and working in one of the countries above
  • be a mid-career professional with at least three years work experience
  • be nominated by his/her employer
  • have been unconditionally admitted by the University of Twente to one of the master degree programmes
  • have completed an NFP Master’s Degree Programme application form and have submitted all the required documentation to the Netherlands embassy or consulate
  • not be employed by a large industrial, commercial, international or multinational organization
  • offer evidence of proficiency in speaking and writing the language of instruction
  • be available for the entire period of the programme and be physically and mentally able to take part in the entire programme
  • declare that they will return to their home country immediately after the study programme has ended
  • comply with country-specific rules set by RNE (for more information please contact the Netherlands Embassy or consulate in your home country)
  • candidate must not have received an NFP fellowship or any other fellowship in the three years prior to the start of the proposed programme (MA, SC or PhD)

University of Twente Scholarship for Master Programme

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The UT Scholarship is awarded by the Foundation University of Twente Scholarship Programme of the University of Twente. The UT Scholarship is meant for international students who show excellence, both academically as well as socially. The UT Scholarship is awarded for one year of study and is
extended for a second year if study results are sufficient. Please note that you can only apply for the UT Scholarship after you have been (provisionally) accepted by the educational programme of your choice.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
- the online application form <http://www.graduate.utwente.nl/apply/> for admission to the university has been completed and all certified documents have been received.
- you have been (provisionally) accepted to a master programme at the University of Twente
- you are excellent, both academically as well as socially
- sufficient mastery of the English language academic IELTS, overall band score of at least 6.5
TOEFL, internet based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 90 academic IELTS, speaking score of at least 6.0
TOEFL, internet based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 20
- your faculty has nominated you for the UT Scholarship
- you are a national of a non EU/EEA country
- you show potential to become a future leader (of industry)
- you are strongly committed to society
- the UT Scholarship is not meant for candidates who already have their Master
degree

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION
You can apply for a UT Scholarship between October and May 2010. The ultimate deadline is 10 May 2010.
