We welcome outstanding and talented prospective graduate students from around the nation and the world to apply for Graduate Studies. Besides national students, KFUPM currently has international graduate students from 28 different nationalities. This adds to the richness & diversity of the academic and research environment at KFUPM.
The University currently offers 30 Master programs and 10 Doctoral programs in a full range of traditional disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary programs that anticipate market trends and respond to national needs. KFUPM provides full MS and PhD scholarships for distinguished graduate applicants who demonstrate high potential for conducting original research in the fields of Engineering, Sciences and Business.

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) are designed to promote capacity building within organisations in 61 countries by providing training and education to mid-career staff. The NFP is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation.
The overall aim of the NFP is to help alleviate qualitative and quantitative shortages of skilled manpower within a wide range of governmental, private and non-governmental organisations. This is done by offering fellowships to mid-career professionals to improve the capacity of their employing organisations.

This scholarship is offered to international applicants for BU undergraduate (Bachelor) degrees beginning in September 2012. You will be eligible to apply for a BU Undergraduate International Scholarship if you can demonstrate an outstanding academic profile relevant to your course. An outstanding academic profile is one which is considered to be equivalent to 3 Grade As at UK ′A′ Level as assessed by NARIC.

A scholarship program for person who are:
- Highly interested to pursue an overseas master degree in the field of science and technology : Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Mathematical, Agriculture, IT Sciences (except Medicine & Veterinary Medicine) with minimum GPA 3.20.
- Posses an excellent academic performance and has strong sense of Indonesia nationalism and leadership.•Completed at least 16 years of formal education (inclusive elementary, junior/senior high school and College) or shall be graduating from College by March 2010.
- Will not be more than 35 years of age by 01 April 2011 and will not be receiving other scholarship.
- Must be in good physical and mental health and have a strong motivation for learning.
- Have the strong desire to learn the Japanese Language & Culture since its proficiency level shall be used as a pre-requisite to majority of the courses for graduate school acceptance
- Pass the screening and selection process in Ajinomoto Indonesia.
- Pass the required grade needed for exams such as Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL), Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)
Scholarship Allowance:
- JPY 150,000/monthly allowance (maximum for 1 year) for a research graduate school student.
- JPY 180,000/monthly allowance (maximum for 2 years) for a master’s course graduate school student.
-JPY 200,000 airfare coverage (to and from Japan)•Full coverage of Examination, Admission and Tuition fees.
Types of Ajinomoto Scholarship :
•Master’s Student Program:
1. Must be able to pass level 3 (basic level) of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) by December 2010.
2. Entire program should be finished within two years.
3. Should able to submit required documentation to the University of Tokyo for the chosen field of study.
•Research Student Program + Master’s Student Program:
1. Must be able to pass level 3 (basic level) of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) on or before December 2011.
2. Entire program should be finished by three years.

Every day Facebook confronts the most complex technical problems and we believe that close relationships with the academy will enable us to address many of these problems at a fundamental level and solve them. As part of our ongoing commitment to academic relations, we are pleased to announce the creation of the Facebook Fellowship program to support graduate students in the 2010-2011 school year.
We are interested in a wide range of academic topics, including the following topical areas:
Internet Economics: auction theory and algorithmic game theory relevant to online advertising auctions.
Cloud Computing: storage, databases, and optimization for computing in a massively distributed environment.
Social Computing: models, algorithms and systems around social networks, social media, social search and collaborative environments.
Data Mining and Machine Learning: learning algorithms, feature generation, and evaluation methods to produce effective online and offline models of behavioral signals.
Systems: hardware, operating system, runtime, and language support for fast, scalable, efficient data centers.
Information Retrieval: search algorithms, information extraction, question answering, cross-lingual retrieval and multimedia retrieval
Eligibility Criteria
Full-time Ph.D. students in topical areas represented by these fellowships who are currently involved in on-going research.
Students must be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Architecture, or a related area.
Students must be enrolled during the academic year that the Fellowship is awarded.
Students must be nominated by a faculty member.
Application Checklist and Instructions
The application must include:
* 1-2 page research summary which clearly identifies the area of focus and applicability to Facebook. Please reference the topical areas above.
* Student's CV (with email, phone and mailing address). Please include applicable coursework.
* Minimum of 2 letters of recommendation (one must be from the faculty sponsor).

The Sato International Scholarship Foundation grants two types of scholarship for self-supporting students from ASEAN countries as well as Southwest Asian countries enrolled in a Japanese undergraduate or graduate institution:
1. Scholarship for Self-Supporting Students
2. Scholarship for Short-Term Exchange Students.
Students from the Following Countries are Eligible to Apply: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, Vietnam
Scholarship for Self-Supporting Students: The applicant must be residing in Japan, enrolled in or accepted to a legitimate program. Please apply through the students office of your university.
Amount of Scholarship
* Undergraduate students: 120,000 yen/month
* Graduate students: 180,000 yen/month plus additional support to cover cost for attending conferences
Duration of Scholarship: 2 years
Number of Scholarships Granted: Around 25 students will be accepted.
Eligibility
The applicant must be a citizen from the aforesaid countries, who does not hold Japanese citizenship and must be enrolled in a Japanese undergraduate or graduate institution, under the jurisdiction of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
The applicant must also fulfill the following requirements:
1. Does not receive any sort of scholarship or funding from other parties.
2. Holds legal residence status as a college student.
3. Have interest in promoting international understanding and friendship, and is able to attend SISF meetings (meetings are held 6 times/year).
4. Does not have a parent employed in Japan.
5. Does not hold a doctorate degree.
6. Is enrolled in a program with more than 1 year left until graduation/completion (from April 2009). This restriction does not apply to doctorate program.
Scholarship for Short-Term Exchange Students: This scholarship is provided to students who are recommended by those designated universities that have secured an agreement of recommendation with the Sato International Scholarship Foundation.
Scholarship as well as travel fee to Japan is provided to those students from the aforesaid countries who will study in Japan on a short term based on the agreement among universities for study exchange.
Amount of Scholarship: 100,000 yen/month
Duration of Scholarship: Over 6 months, up to 10 months; however scholarship terminates upon completion of the program.

Nottingham Trent University - School of Science and Technology (11 projects)
Nottingham Trent University is inviting applications for 12 fully-funded PhD studentships, commencing in October 2010. The studentships will pay UK/EU fees and provide a maintenance stipend linked to the RCUK rate (currently £13,290 per annum) for up to three years.
Applications are invited for the following projects within the School of Science and Technology:
-Novel Switching Mechanisms in Multistable Nematic Liquid Crystal Displays
-Dopant migration and aging processing in semiconductor lasers, heterostructures and nanostructures
-Novel therapeutic vectors towards the therapy of uveal melanoma
-Non-equilibrium behaviour in model soft materials
-Antibiotic resistance of Hospital and community acquired E.coli, mechanisms and associated virulence factors

Entry requirement
A first class or upper second class U.K. BSc (Hons) degree (or equivalent) or Masters degree in a relevant field.
Award
The studentships will pay UK/EU fees and provide a maintenance stipend linked to the RCUK rate (currently £13,290 per annum) for up to three years. Applications from overseas students are welcome, but a successful candidate would be responsible for paying the international fees. (Fees for 2009/10 are £10,200 for international students).
Eligibility
Applications can be accepted from UK/EU and also International students. The minimum English language proficiency requirement for candidates who have not undertaken a higher degree at a UK HE institution is IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 560/iBT 83.

CNIO / "la Caixa" PhD Programme
In 2008 "la Caixa" Foundation launched a scholarship programme to offer interdisciplinary training and research opportunities to outstanding young graduate students of any nationality to pursue a PhD project at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO).
The "la Caixa"/CNIO international PhD programme offers cross-disciplinary training in state-of-the- art basic and applied cancer research within an international scientific environment. Ten fully funded four year fellowships will be available in 2010. Candidates should have an excellent academic track record, a solid knowledge of English and previous research experience.
Applications must be received by March 15th, 2010.
